You can make a big difference in the life of a Tibetan refugee who has no family to care for them in exile. Through your sponsorship of a Tibetan monk, nun, child or elder, you will be helping monastic institutions, schools, performing arts organizations, and elder homes to provide nutritious meals, clothing, educational materials, health care, and other necessities to their residents. Your support will help to ensure that Tibetans are well cared for and able to sustain their culture and identity in exile. The Tibet Fund underwrites the administrative costs of the Sponsorship Program so that 100 percent of our sponsors’ funds go to India and Nepal where they are most needed. The Tibet Fund’s sponsorship program supports over 80 educational institutions, including monastic institutions, schools, and elder homes struggling to provide nutritious meals, clothing, education materials, health care, and other necessities to their residents. From 1999-2014, we transferred over $4,122,000 to these institutions to ensure the wellbeing of their residents.
